Pro Course Missed Classes & Catch-Up Lessons
Pro Course classes run sequentially, and back-to-back consecutively. It is of utmost importance that all absences be avoided as scheduling does not allow for a missed class to be made up prior the next lesson taking place. Missing a class may impact your ability to move ahead with further classes and the completion of the course.
Trainers will not dedicate class time to catching individual students up on missed curriculum as it impacts the learning of other students and disrupts and hinders the progress of the entire class.
Any missed classes than can on occasion be accommodated with a catch-up lesson prior to the next class will be required to be a private lesson at an additional cost to the student. Catch up classes for missed lessons are pending trainer availability and Brushworks Makeup Academy is not obligated to schedule catch up classes for missed lessons.
Any planned days off must be discussed and agreed to before enrolment with a plan in place for any required makeup classes.
First day attendance is mandatory to proceed with further classes. Any missed classes may delay your completion or affect your eligibility of completion and qualification.
Pro Course Attendance and Achievement
Paying for and/or fully attending a course does not guarantee a qualification. Awards of achievement are gained by the successful completion of all modules and fulfillment of the designated criteria as set out by Brushworks Makeup Academy.
Advanced Essentials Pro Course Pre-Requisites
To undertake/commence the Brushworks Makeup Academy Advanced Essentials Pro Course successful completion of the Makeup Fundamentals Pro Course is required and is at the discretion of Brushworks Makeup Academy.
Should you be ineligible to commence your scheduled Advanced Essentials Pro Course due to the unsuccessful completion of the Makeup Fundamentals Pro Course you will be given the opportunity to re-schedule your Advanced Essentials Pro Course once, and within a one-year period (pending availability) of your original enrolment date. Closed in shoes are essential while training in the academy for safety.
Academy floors are concrete. Comfortable, non-slip shoes are recommended as all practical hours are completed standing up.
Avoid short, tight, low cut clothing that you cannot easily bend down and manoeuvre in.
Hair is best worn off the face and minimal jewellery is advised.
Good personal hygiene and grooming is required.
Pro Course Model Requirements
Arranging models for the practical portion of Pro Course classes is an essential part of the education process and a requirement for the successful completion of the course.
The onus is on the student to arrange the necessary models required for each class. Brushworks Makeup Academy is not responsible to provide or help provide models to students for their course.
To ensure that each student fulfills the number of practical hours required for successful course completion it is not permitted to share models during class. Students are also not able to complete practical makeup hours on themselves. Failure to complete the required practical hours due to a lack of model could impede you moving forward with following classes and will jeopardise your final results.
It is recommended that students arrange several different models over the duration of their course to ensure diversity across as many different facial features and types of clients as possible.
Models are only permitted to be in the academy space during the designated practical session. It is the responsibility of the student to communicate this.
Students will take turns at being selected as the trainer’s demonstration model as an essential part of the firsthand learning experience.
