This optimal training location consists of spacious workstations, professional lighting, and height adjustable makeup stools, as well as large screen TVs and a designated theory area.
The studio’s industrial chic theme gives a high-end ‘behind-the-scenes’ vibe, while the boutique setting and facilities add the ideal comfort factor.

The Brushworks Academy Trainer Bio
Following a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and a Diploma in Entertainment Makeup, Founder and Principal Trainer Bec Prior has over the span of two decades built an impressive list of career credits across Australia and the US, where she lived for 6 years.
Her work has included a myriad of fashion events such as Australian & New York Fashion Week, International award events such as the Primetime Emmy’s, pop reality TV shows such as The Voice, and editorial in lifestyle publications and major fashion magazines such as LA Style and Harper’s Bazaar.
Bec works predominantly in the area of beauty makeup and has worked on and with local and international models, celebrities, artists, reality TV personalities, fashion designers, beauty editors, and Editors in Chief.
Her work has also taken her to Paris, Athens, Auckland, & Hong Kong.

What if Your Classes Don't Fit My Schedule?
Brushworks Makeup Academy offers both private and customised options if you require something more tailored to your specific needs. We are happy to work with you to try and accommodate your particulars including date, curriculum and type of training session or workshop.

Are Your Pro Courses Accredited?
Brushworks Makeup Academy offers non-accredited makeup courses. Whilst accreditation is a requirement of certain industries, an accredited qualification is not a requirement to work within the makeup industry.
Potential employers throughout the makeup industry, particularly in the areas of fashion, editorial, and bridal, regard your portfolio (photographic examples of your work) as the most relevant testament to your skills, not accredited certification.

Do I Get a Certificate With the Completion of a Pro Course?
Upon successful completion of all required lessons, you will receive a Brushworks Makeup Academy Certificate of Completion in Makeup Fundamentals for the Makeup Fundamentals course, and a Brushworks Certificate of Completion in Advanced Makeup Techniques for the Advanced Essentials course.
Is There Further Support for Pro Students?
Yes. Pro students are offered a number of complimentary ‘Studio Sessions’ during, and after course completion which is additional time in the academy with access to an Academy trainer and the academy facilities.
Studio Sessions are designed to further build a student’s confidence and can be utilized to perfect a particular technique, work through an idea for an upcoming job, or just enjoy additional time to experiment.
